Bob Bingham played Caiaphas in the original Broadway production of 'Jesus Christ Superstar'
and also played the part in the 1973 film.
A big man with a big voice, Bob's gravelly and deep bass became one of the outstanding performances of the film. Most actors who play the part of Caiaphas, whether professional or amateur, try their best to live up to the standard set by Bob 30 odd years ago.
After the film 'Jesus Christ Superstar', Bob appeared with Pink Floyd in their film ' The Wall.' After that it appears that Bob returned to his native Seattle in the USA where he taught at the university. |
