| Things are changing, especially at school. At first, the Jews had to wear yellow stars so that they could be recognised. Then they started to disappear from the streets. We hear that they are taken away in trucks during the night, but we don't know where to. Nobody dares to ask too many questions in case they disappear too! Some people are glad to see them go. In class we are taught that the Jews are bad people and the enemies of Germany. We are told that the Jews started the Great War. Jewish children no longer come to our school. |
