Jesus also chose twelve men that he made his disciples; they were to accompany and learn from him. They were then going to teach all they learnt from Jesus to people all around the world with 55 others that he chose later. On a Sunday, in Jesus' 33rd year and after many miracles he performed, Jesus called his disciples and asked them to bring him a colt so that he could enter Jerusalem. There were many people there because of a feast, and when all the people heard that Jesus was entering Jerusalem they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him. And they all shouted, "Hosanna, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord the King of Israel". This fulfilled the prophecy of Zechariah as he said, 2Fear not, daughter of Zion; Behold, your king is coming, sitting on a donkey's colt". Zechariah 9:9. |

The following day, Monday, Jesus went to the Temple. But when he entered it, he was furious. There were people selling goods everywhere and the Temple was filled with animals and their owners trying to sell them. Jesus threw everything on the floor and said to them "Is it not written: 'My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations'? But you have made it a den of robbers." (Mark 11:15-17). |

A few days later, Jesus said to his disciples, "As you know, the Passover is two days away-and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified." Then, after two days, on the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, Jesus and his disciples sat with his disciples to eat and feast with them. "While they were eating Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples saying, ' Take it; this is my body'. Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, and they all drank from it. 'This is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many. I tell you the truth, I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it anew in the kingdom of God.' "(Mark 14: 22-26). |
